A school talent performance featured a young rocker who, at the tender age of eleven, wowed the audience with a rendition of “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC.

The complicated beginning and challenging riffs of this song are enough to deter aspiring guitarists, but that didn’t stop young Julian from practicing and following his dream of playing live for an audience. Being thus talented at such a young age is no small feat.

Also, “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC is a classic that no rock music expert has ever heard of. For rockers everywhere, nothing beats the tried-and-true classic, thanks to its distinctive guitar and the “Aha” yelling that went viral. Julian taught the world that practicing and liking what you do are crucial to being a success, despite the complexity of the task. Below you may see the video of the complete performance:

Following his introduction by a classmate, Julian strides confidently forward, accompanied by a stunning guitar and, what else but a Black Sabbath t-shirt? The audience knows he’s going to rip some serious rock! Without wasting a second, Julian started to shred and show off what he had learned in the previous few months. Demonstrating this young man’s courage and resolve, he wanted to perform the song even though he hadn’t fully mastered it in music class.

When it comes to rock music, AC/DC is right up there with the biggest names. In 1973, brothers Malcolm and Angus Young from Australia formed a band that would go on to produce timeless rock music and a legendary brand. Stadiums continue to be packed with fans every time the band takes the stage, even though they’ve gone through a number of lineup changes. “Highway To Hell” is another one of their famous songs; you can hear it here:

In the video’s description, Julian says that he’s mostly a bassist, but that he started playing guitar when he was six years old. Though he ultimately settled on “Thunderstruck,” his original plan was to mimic the late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton’s rendition of “Orion” from Master of Puppets.
